Slough Borough Council Autism Celebration Events – April 2025, 5km Autism Celebration Trail

Details

Description

In celebration of Autism Acceptance Month, Slough Borough Council is proud to host two key events to celebrate, promote inclusion, and support autism and neurodiversity in our community – and we would love for you to join us and get involved!

Adult Social Care Commissioning Team, in collaboration with Slough Children First (SCF), SEND, Slough CVS, NHS Frimley ICB, Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and other key stakeholders, will be organising an Autism Celebration Event 2025.

The celebration aims to go beyond awareness and actively promote inclusion, empowerment and positive change for autistic people, their families and carers within the community. It also aligns with our Autism Strategy (2024–2029) and the borough’s vision of making Slough an Autism-Friendly Town, where autistic people can thrive in education, employment, health, community life and social participation.

The trail will bring together autistic people, carers, professionals, stakeholders, and SBC staff to raise awareness and celebrate the rich neurodiversity of Slough. It also serves to promote the main celebration event taking place at the end of the month.
